Mock Interview Time!

Advanced guidance students experienced the mock interview process yesterday and today in the library. PTP Coordinator Mrs. Jeneen Fukuroku contacts human resource personnel in the community to donate their valuable time, and students are fortunate to have this real-world encounter.

Pictured above are Mrs. Fukuroku, sophomore Devin Vea, Career Center representative Mrs. Susan Gomes and teacher Ms. Maki Wims.

Mr. Christopher Perry and Mr. Glenn Prieto also teach advanced guidance courses, and their students participated in yesterday's rounds of interviews.

Congratulations to all who survived this stressful but worthwhile experience!

Now on Display

Business teachers Mrs. Sanada & Mr. Prieto review stock market information displayed on six separate monitors provided by the Akamai Finance Academy. Bloomberg software allows academy members to practice what they're learning. Maybe MHS will benefit from successful future investors!

HOSA students create a college mascot in their Clinical Health I course for Mrs. Nacua. No short cuts allowed; original materials must be used. Once completed and graded, the mascots are placed on display in the library and generate lively conversations!

Wall of Faces Project Needs Photos

A woman recently asked if our library has any old yearbooks with photos of soldiers from Hawaii who were casualties of the Vietnam war. She was directed to Friends of Old Maui High, and the good news is they can help her.

Click here to see a list of Hawaii men who died in Vietnam. You can read about the photo project here and in this article.
